I am seeing Shockspot 8 and 12 inch machines in V1.5 model.

But no Shockspot Double machine at all now.

Does anyone know of they will be releasing a Shockspot Double machine V1.5?

They look better with a slight design change.

The old 8 inch machine

They also look slightly bigger, if anyone is able to confirm?

Here is size comparison.

Shockspot V1 (Old)
Dimensions 16.5” W x 22.0” L Up to 30.0” High
Dimensions Folded 16.5” W x 22.0” L x 5.5” H

Shockspot V1.5 (New)
Dimensions 16.5” W x 26.5” L, 39″ to 47″ H (Vertical Thruster) or 25.25″ H (horizontal Thruster)
Dimensions Folded 16.5” W x 26.5” L x 5.5” H with legs attached, 6” W x 25.0” L x 5.25” H with legs removed

So yes, the new Shockspot is slightly larger in size.

What about power?

How much more powerful is Shockspot version 1.5 than the original model?

The new Shosckpot 8" machine is more powerful!

It has a maximum thrust of 20.91 lbs of push force.

That's 125 inch-pounds torque equivalent for a 12 inch rotary machine

Compare with the old Shockpot 8" machine:

Which has a maximum thrust 17.535 lbs of thrust.

Equivalent to 105 inch-pounds torque for a 12 inch rotary machine.

How much more powerful is it?

The Shockspot 8" V1.5 has 3.375 lbs more max. thrust push force.

Equivalent to 20 inch-pound more torque (12 inch rotary machine).

Wow! That is nearly 20% more increase in power!

What is the difference in speed?

The old Shockspot 8"

The new Shockspot 8" (V1.5)

Maximum Speed 27.36 inches/sec

The new Shockspot is 3.74 inches per second faster!

Again, that's nearly a 20% improvement.

So the V1.5 is a notable upgrade on the V1.0 machine.

Thank you for providing this useful comparison data.

These new specs refer to both the 8 and 12 inch machines.

The only difference between the 2 machines is the thrust length (8 or 12 inch).

You're right, there is no Shockspot dual penetration machine at all showing on Shockspot.net.

You're only options are Shockspot 8 inch machine or Shockspot 12 inch machine.

V 1.5

This is an exciting development.

I thought they had shut up shop or gone bust.

The website is back online and a new machine model.

Are there any other improvements other than the power and speed?

It would be awesome if there was a proper Shockspot App — Any news on this?

Is this me being optimistic, but 1.5 is like half an upgrade, perhaps there is a full version upgrade due in the not too distant future.

Shockspot V2.0?

FYI: You can still buy the V1.0 machines on the Shockspot website too.

Still around £200 ($300) cheaper than the V1.5 versions.

Shockspot 1.0 (8-inch)

Shockspot 1.0 (12-inch)
https://www.shockspot.net/product/shockspot-system-12-inch-300mm-stroke/

Keeping an eye on them as they might be sold off even cheaper!
